Carry Trade

Carry Trade - A strategy where a trader sells a currency with a low interest rate and uses the funds to buy a currency with a higher interest rate. The goal is to profit from the interest rate differential (the “carry”) in addition to any currency appreciation. Carry trades can yield profits if the high-yield currency holds its value or rises, but can be risky if exchange rates move against the trader.
