Agent

Agent - In MetaTrader 5, an agent is a computing worker (service or thread) used by the Strategy Tester to run backtests or optimizations. The tester can use multiple local agents (leveraging multi-threading) or connect to remote agents and the MQL5 Cloud Network for distributed processing. cTrader’s optimizer similarly runs passes on available CPU cores but does not use the “agent” terminology.
