Base Currency

Base Currency - In a currency pair (like EUR/USD), the base currency is the first currency listed. It represents the unit of currency being traded. The second currency is the quote currency. For instance, if EUR/USD = 1.1000, the base is EUR and the quote is USD: one euro is worth 1.1000 US dollars.
