Dealing Desk

The trade execution department of a broker that manages client orders internally. A “Dealing Desk broker” typically means a Market Maker broker (B-Book) who sets its own bid/ask prices and fills client trades from its own liquidity pool. Instead of routing orders directly to the market, the dealing desk may match them internally or take the other side. Dealing desks can requote prices (offer a new price if the market moved) and often offer fixed spreads. For forex robots, dealing desk execution can mean more frequent requotes and potentially slower execution during volatility, which might affect strategies like scalpers that demand quick fills. (By contrast, see No Dealing Desk (NDD).)
