A practice trading account provided by brokers that uses virtual money and real market data. It allows traders to test the trading platform and practice strategies (or robots) in a risk-free environment. A demo account simulates real trading conditions (prices, spreads, etc.) so you can evaluate how an expert advisor (EA) might perform, without risking capital. Keep in mind that execution on demo may be more forgiving (no slippage or liquidity constraints) compared to live trading, so a robot might behave slightly differently on a real account.
