Distributed/Parallel Optimization – Both platforms support using multiple CPU cores or machines to speed up optimization. MT5’s Strategy Tester is multi-threaded and uses separate computing agents on each core. It can also tap the MQL5 Cloud Network (see M) or a LAN of remote agents for massive parallelization. cTrader’s optimizer similarly uses all available cores on the local PC. Allocating more CPU to cTrader’s optimizer (via the Resources slider) can speed up runs.
