Divergence

Divergence - A situation where price and a technical indicator (or two indicators) move in opposite directions. For example, price making new highs while RSI fails to make new highs is bearish divergence. Divergence signals weakening momentum and potential trend reversal. Robots can use divergence (e.g. between price and MACD/RSI) to refine entry or exit decisions.
