Drawdown

Drawdown - The decline in an account’s equity from a peak to a trough, usually quoted as a percentage. A maximum drawdown (Max DD) is the largest observed drop from a high balance to a subsequent low. In evaluating forex robots, drawdown is an important risk metric, indicating the worst-case peak-to-valley loss during a test or trading period.
