Traditional email alerts are also used in trading. Many platforms can send emails (via SMTP) when orders execute or conditions are met. For instance, MetaTrader’s SendMail() function or cTrader’s notification system can email trade notifications to the trader. While superseded in many cases by chat apps, email remains a universal integration for alerts. Traders receive updates in their inbox, and developers configure the necessary SMTP/IMAP settings within the trading tool.
