Entry Logic (Entry Criteria)

The specific, pre-set conditions under which the algorithm opens a new position. For example, a momentum entry logic may be “buy when short-term moving average crosses above long-term average,” or a mean-reversion logic might be “buy when price falls below its X-period mean by Y%.” Entry rules can be technical (indicator crossovers), statistical (price deviation thresholds), or fundamental (news surprises). Clear entry logic ensures the robot only trades on signals that meet defined, objective criteria.
