A trading robot for MetaTrader platforms. An EA is a program (written in MQL4/5) that runs on MetaTrader 4/5 and automates trading operations. When uploaded to MT4/MT5, an EA can analyze market data and execute trades on behalf of the user, according to its coded strategy. Each EA is unique to its strategy, and many traders use EAs to trade 24/5 without manual input, as MT4/5 provide built-in support for these “robots”.
