Fitness Score

Fitness Score – A numeric score that ranks how well a given parameter set meets the chosen criteria. In cTrader’s optimizer, each pass has a Fitness column, defined as “a metric that evaluates the degree to which a pass has maximized/minimized your chosen criteria”. Higher fitness means a better fit to the objectives. By default, cTrader computes this internally (or uses a custom GetFitness function). In MT5’s genetic optimization, the term “optimization criterion” serves a similar purpose – e.g. maximize profit or any selected measure.
