Floating Exchange Rate - An exchange rate regime in which a currency’s value is allowed to fluctuate freely according to market forces of supply and demand, rather than being fixed or pegged by a government. Most major currencies (USD, EUR, JPY, etc.) are on floating regimes, meaning their exchange rates change continuously.
