Greenback

Greenback - A slang term for the US dollar. The nickname comes from the historical green ink used on U.S. paper currency. Traders might say “Greenback weakness” to mean USD is losing value broadly. (Other USD nicknames include “buck,” but greenback is common in forex contexts.)
