Gross Domestic Product (GDP)

Gross Domestic Product - The total market value of all final goods and services produced by a country in a given period. GDP growth rate is a key economic health indicator. Higher-than-expected GDP growth often strengthens the currency (via higher interest rate expectations), while weak GDP can weaken it. Many algo systems monitor GDP releases as part of fundamental analysis.
