Hedging

Hedging - A strategy to reduce risk by taking an offsetting position to protect against adverse price movements. In forex, hedging might mean holding both a long and short position in correlated pairs or using derivatives (like options or futures) such that a loss in one position is mitigated by a gain in another. Effective hedging can limit losses but may also cap potential profits.
