Market Maker

Market Maker - A type of forex broker or dealer that “makes the market” by providing liquidity and setting bid/ask prices for clients. A market maker broker takes the other side of client trades (using a dealing desk) and can profit from the spread or client losses. This is in contrast to ECN/STP brokers, which pass orders to external liquidity.
