MetaTrader Strategy Tester - The built-in tester in MetaTrader platforms (MT4/MT5) for Expert Advisors (EAs). It replays historical quotes and lets the EA trade them virtually. MT5’s tester even supports multi-threaded testing across multiple currency pairs. It reports equity graphs and stats (profit factor, drawdown, Sharpe, etc.), and can run parameter optimizations across the chosen backtest interval. This is a central tool for MT-based EA development.
