Optimization Mode / Type

Optimization Mode - Refers to the algorithm used by the tester. In MT5 you choose between “Slow complete” (full enumeration of all combos) and “Fast genetic” (GA). cTrader similarly offers “Grid” (exhaustive) and “Genetic Algorithm” modes. Some platforms (MT5) also allow “All symbols” mode (see All Symbols). Choosing the mode trades off speed vs completeness.
