Parameter (Input Variable)

Parameter - A configurable setting for the robot that affects strategy behavior (e.g. moving average period, stop-loss size). Optimization varies these inputs to improve performance. In MT5, parameters are the Expert Advisor’s external inputs. In cTrader they are defined with [Parameter] attributes. Optimizers let you select which parameters to vary, set their start/end values, and define a step size.
