Parameter Range and Step – For each parameter, the optimization requires a minimum (start), maximum (end), and increment (step). The optimizer then tests values in that range (e.g. from 10 to 100 by 5). cTrader’s parameter window shows each selected input with its range and step, and computes the total number of combinations. The finer the step, the more combinations (and longer runs), but higher resolution in results.
