Patch

Patch - A patch (or patch release) is a small update intended primarily to fix bugs or make minor cleanups. Patch releases do not introduce major new features; instead, they address specific issues in an existing release (for example, correcting a logic error in an EA or updating indicator parameters). In version schemes, a patch is typically the last number in MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH. For instance, moving from version 1.2.3 to 1.2.4 would indicate a bug-fix update. Patch releases are often delivered more frequently than full releases to keep software stable and secure.
