Position

Position - In MT5 (netting mode), a position is the net trade quantity in a symbol (instead of separate orders). For example, buying 1 lot EURUSD twice results in one long position of 2 lots. In MT4 (hedging mode) or MT5 hedging mode, each order is its own position, so “position” is often synonymous with “order”. (MQL5 also distinguishes positions from orders in code.)
