Program Mode (Online vs Tester)

Program Mode – In MetaTrader, EAs can run online on live or demo charts, or in the Strategy Tester (history). Debugging differs slightly: on-chart debugging shows real ticks, while tester debugging can “fast-forward” through history. The tester can run in visual mode (drawing a chart) or non-visual mode. The cTrader backtester is analogous (visual or non-visual backtest).
