A collection of development tools and libraries for building applications on a specific platform. An SDK often includes compilers, debuggers, sample code, and documentation. In trading, SDKs help developers create integrations: for instance, NinjaTrader provides a Desktop SDK for writing custom indicators and add-ons, and some brokers or charting platforms offer SDKs (e.g. in C# or Java) to streamline connecting to their systems. SDKs are mainly used by developers to extend or customize trading platforms and services.
