Selection – The GA stage of choosing parent solutions. In cTrader GA, the two fittest passes are selected in each generation for reproduction. The same concept in MT5 GA selects top runs based on the optimization criterion. Techniques like tournament selection may be used (see Tournament Size). The goal is to bias the search toward better solutions.
