An SLA is a formal promise from the hosting provider defining performance guarantees (such as uptime or support). For example, an SLA might guarantee 99.9% uptime for your forex server. If the provider fails to meet that guarantee (say downtime exceeds 0.1% of time), the SLA typically entitles you to compensation (like service credits). In forex VPS hosting, SLAs give traders confidence that their trading platforms will stay online as promised, and that the provider is accountable for outages.
