SMS (Short Message Service)

SMS - Text-message alerts sent to mobile phones. SMS is a basic text messaging service, often used for critical alerts. Brokers or trading tools let users configure an SMS address (e.g. phone@carrier-gateway) to forward alerts. Developers also integrate SMS gateway APIs (like Twilio) to programmatically send messages. For automated trading, an EA might use an SMS API to text urgent notifications (“margin call reached” or “trade executed”) directly to the trader’s cellphone.
