Spread (Bid–Ask Spread)

Spread - The difference between the ask and bid price. It represents the transaction cost built into every trade. A tight spread means low cost and high liquidity; a wide spread means higher cost. Formally, the spread is simply “the difference between the bid and ask” in the quote. Forex robots factor spreads into profit calculations: for example, a buy order immediately incurs a spread cost before any favorable movement.
