Stop-Out

Stop-Out - A margin call event where open positions are forcibly closed. In cTrader’s optimization grid results, any pass where the cBot hit stop-out is marked (grey check mark). This indicates runs that exhausted margin, which usually means poor parameter sets. This term is mostly relevant in cTrader output; MT5’s tester would simply show that an account’s balance went negative or an error occurred.
