Telegram is a messaging app that supports bots via its HTTP-based Bot API. Automated traders often use Telegram by creating a bot that sends messages to themselves or channels. For example, a forex robot can POST to the Telegram Bot API to deliver trade signals and updates in real time. The Telegram Bot API (“an HTTP-based interface… for building bots”) allows sending text, alerts, charts, etc., to users on mobile or desktop instantly.
