Testing Modes – MT5 offers different tick generation modes affecting speed vs accuracy. “Every tick” uses all historical ticks for highest accuracy, “1-minute OHLC” models intra-bar movement with less detail, and “Open price only” uses only bar open prices for fastest results. These are not optimization terms per se, but are chosen in the Strategy Tester before an optimization run to balance speed and fidelity.
