A market with low liquidity and few active buyers/sellers, often characterized by larger price jumps and wider spreads. In a thin market, even relatively small orders can move the price significantly due to lack of depth. Forex markets can become thin during holiday periods or off-hours; traders need to be cautious as slippage and volatility can increase.
