Timeframe

Timeframe - The time period each bar/candle on the chart represents (e.g. M1 = 1 minute, H1 = 1 hour). MT4 offers 9 standard timeframes (up to MN), while MT5 offers 21 (including 2-minute, 3-minute, etc.). Traders switch timeframes via the toolbar or Chart menu. MQL functions (Period(), SetChartPeriod()) can change or get the chart’s timeframe.
