Visual Testing

Visual Testing - Running a backtest in visual (graphical) mode. cTrader and MT5 can show trades on a chart as the test plays out. cTrader’s Visual Mode backtest “displays a trading chart for the chosen period in real-time accelerated using your playback speed setting”. This helps debug strategies but is slower. It is generally a step separate from optimization, but useful for understanding how parameter changes affect behavior.
